Joshua D. Winger


Joshua Winger practices law in Maryland and the District of Columbia.  He is a member of the Maryland, D.C., Prince George’s County and Anne Arundel County Bar Associations.  Joshua received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Baltimore Law School in 2007, and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2004 from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

Joshua started with the firm in 2001, first as a law clerk.  While a student and continuing as a graduate, Joshua worked for multiple trial judges and an appellate judge in the Maryland judiciary.  After a law clerkship in the Circuit Court for Kent County, Maryland, Joshua returned to the firm as an attorney in 2008.  At Byrd & Byrd, LLC, Joshua primarily handles estate planning, elder law, postmortem administration and contract litigation matters.

Joshua served for four years on the Board of Directors for the Anne Arundel Senior Services Provider Group, Inc. and also served as its Treasurer for three years.  In 2018, Joshua was selected to serve as a Section Council member for the Maryland State Bar Association Elder Law and Disability Rights Section, and served a two-year term.  Joshua has a strong desire to help others and has volunteered for multiple local outreaches. He is married to his beautiful bride, Lindsay.  Joshua and Lindsay have four wonderful children, Luke, Grant, Max, and Garrett.  Joshua enjoys long-distance running and is also a passionate fan of soccer and the arts.
